William J. Kwapil, Jr., 73 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Bill was born on February 26, 1943 in Watertown, WI, the son of William and Marie (McFarland) Kwapil. Bill was a graduate of UW-Whitewater and earned a business degree. On June 3, 1967, he married Catherine Danks at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Sheboygan Falls and the couple was married 49 years. Bill was a hardworking man and spent his entire life with his family business - 7UP Bottling Company. Bill was a simple man who was loved by all. He was a pillar of the Watertown Community, always putting others before himself, and Bill required no public accolade. He was a patient and kind man who served in many different roles at St. Bernard's and with Rotary Club, serving as treasurer 30 plus years. He was a longtime member of the Watertown Country Club and will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived by: his Wife Cathy; Children Kelly (Jennifer) of Watertown, and Karla (Julianna Alitto) Kwapil; Grandchildren Molly, Grace, Laura, and James; Siblings Sue (Mike) Sadowski of Racine, Tom (Karen) of Watertown, Don (Jean) of Watertown, and Steve (Belinda) of Watertown. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials in Bill's name to Rainbow Hospice Center would be appreciated.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00PM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Wendler presiding. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the Church. A private family burial will take place at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery.
