Wayne Pfeifer

August 19, 1932 — June 30, 2019

Wayne E. Pfeifer, 86 of Marshall passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Park Terrace in Watertown surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born on August 19, 1932 in Lyndon Station, WI the son of Herman and Frances (Sheybl) Pfeifer. He married the love of his life Joan Emery on August 23, 1952 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mauston, WI and the couple enjoyed 67 years of marriage.  Wayne proudly owned his own barber shop in Madison for over 40 years. In his free time he and his wife enjoyed going dancing every Friday night in New Glarus, WI. He enjoyed bowling and watching the Packers and Badgers. Above all Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to have known him.

Wayne is survived by his wife Joan, Gary (Debbie) Pfeifer of Cambridge, Steve (Pam) Pfeifer of DeForest, Mary (Mark) Mennicke of Marshall, and Randy Pfeifer (Erin) of Janesville. 13 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren and Sister Joyce Archambeault of Hebron, IL. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Brian, two children in infancy, 1 grandson, 1 brother, and 1 sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 11:00am at Holy Family Parish- Marshall Campus with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. A visitation will take place at the church from 9am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
