Virginia M. Vogt 91, of Watertown passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Marquardt Health Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was born on July 14, 1927 in Watertown the daughter of Lawrence and Mabel (Flath) Kelm. She was a 1946 graduate of Watertown High School. She married the love of her life Orval on Nov. 1, 1947 at the Watertown Moravian Church and the two enjoyed 71 years together. Virginia was a homemaker and she also provided day care in Watertown from 1963-2002, for well over 100 children. Virginia was a tremendous baker and cook. She was known for her love of baking cakes, cookies and bread. Virginia also enjoyed coupon clipping and watching sermons on tv. One could also find her tending to her flowers in her garden. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include: Husband Orval, Children Dale (Linda) Vogt of Watertown, Bruce (Teresa) Vogt of Watertown, Brad Vogt of Watertown and Brian (Laurie) Vogt of Stoughton; 8 Grandchildren Michelle (Mark), Jason (Charell), Becky (Josh), Ted, Jean, Jennifer (Brian Riesen), Jessica (Joel) and Chris; 6 Great Grandchildren Blake, Dominick, Sen, Ava, Adam and Casey; Sister Lois Bratz of Madison. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Eugene and Grandson Jeremy.
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert J. Loggans presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Moravian Church Cemetery.
