Violet B. Moungey, of Horicon, formerly of Waterloo passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.
Violet was born in Brownsville, WI the daughter of John and Bertha (Mueller) Feilbach. She married Elmer Moungey on June 1, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman and the couple enjoyed 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2007. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking, and cooking, but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Violet is survived by her children Scott Moungey of Horicon and Holly (Ron) Bushkopf of Waterloo. 5 grandchildren: Jacob, Mason, Morgan, Max, Heather and Great-Grandchild Isaiah. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Oscar, Bernie, and her sister Marcella.
A funeral service for Violet will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 24, 2020 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo with Rev. James Adomeit presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00pm until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
