Viola Weihert

Viola M. Weihert 87, of Watertown, WI passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home.

Viola was born on November 22, 1930 in Browntown, IL the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Phillips) Shippy. Viola married Reinhold “Reinie” Weihert on November 12, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waterloo and the two enjoyed 45 years of marriage together until his death in 1995. Viola was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown for the majority of her life. She worked at Schweiger Industry in the sewing department for over 25 years. For leisure, Viola enjoyed spending time with her family and friends chatting in her garage. She also had a love for cats, dogs and other animals. In her younger years, she enjoyed entertaining friends and dancing. She also had a love for sewing and knitting in her free time. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and friend and will be dearly missed.

Viola is survived by: her 4 children, Connie Weihert, Vickie (Henry) Grebin, Kay (Robert) Campbell, and Rodney (Maria) Weihert; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Reinhold; and her close companion, Pepper.

A friends and family gathering will be held to honor the life of Viola on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Watertown. Viola will be laid to rest at 9:00AM on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
