Timothy J. Kopplin, 58, of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Tim was born on October 21, 1965, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Neal and Gail (Sullivan) Kopplin. He married the love of his life Carol LeMay on November 15, 1986 and the couple enjoyed 37 years of marriage. Tim worked as a master electrician for many years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; he loved being outdoors and going on family camping trips. His vast knowledge on many topics made him a jack of all trades. He could fix anything. Tim loved spending time reading, working on crypto quotes, crossword puzzles and sitting outside enjoying the sunshine. He was also a master at cooking, trivia, and had a deep passion for music. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family, many friends, and his two dogs June and Ava. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Tim is survived by his wife Carol, daughters Emily (John) Sturdy, Erin Kopplin, son Jon Kopplin, his mother Gail (Dave) Sassman, his brothers Kurt (Theresa) Kopplin, Don (Wendy) Kopplin, Nick Kopplin, and sisters Julia (Kent) MacLaughlin and Brenda (Jeff) Averkamp. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Holy Family Parish- Waterloo Campus with Fr. Michael Johnson presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00am until the time of service.
