Thomas Lauer

September 27, 1932 — March 28, 2013

Thomas Anthony Lauer, age 80, peacefully entered eternal life on March 28, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Madeline, and brother Robert (Bob) Sr.
Tom is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 54 years, Mary Jane Lauer, children Jo Marie Lauer, Cindy (Richard) Krall, John (lily) Lauer, and David Lauer; six grandchildren, Joseph, Jenna, Jackie, Jacob, Joshua, and Ariel; and sister Mary Ellen (late Richard) Kessenich.
Tom was born on September 27, 1932, in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Marquette University High School in 1951 and Marquette University College of Business Administration in 1955. He met his wife, Mary Jane, at Marquette University College and married on April 11, 1959. Tom and his family resided in Watertown, WI, for 45 years. He was employed by Sentry Insurance.
Tom was graciously committed to community service, serving as Vice President of the board of St. Vincent De Paul Society of Watertown. He was a lifetime member of St. Bernard's Parish and the Elks Lodge. He always enjoyed classical music, a good cigar, and the beauty of God's creation.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Bernard's Parish in Watertown, Saturday, April 20th at 2 PM, with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM.
A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 117 North First Street, Watertown, WI.
Memorial contributions greatly appreciated and may be directed to St. Bernard's Educational Endowment and St. Vincent De Paul Society.
