Thane Nathan Schwantes 34 of Livonia, MI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.
Thane was born on Feb.3, 1979 in Watertown the son of Ken and Judy Schwantes. He was a 1997 graduate of Watertown High School. Thane played football and baseball in school. He worked for WSG Blackrock. He moved to Michigan in 2004 and later married Michele Krisher on Oct. 28, 2006 in Livonia, MI. He most loved his 2 ½ year old daughter Elin Sophia. He enjoyed playing softball, golfing and watching the Tigers. He was a loyal Packers Fan.
Survivors include: wife Michele of Livonia, MI; daughter Elin Sophia; parents Ken and Judy Schwantes of Watertown; 2 sisters Erica of Watertown and Lori (Paul) Pelto of Clyman and their daughter Ashley; brother Doug (Julie) and their children Adam and Emily; Also survived by a number aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Myrtle Hrobsky and Elmer and Nora Schwantes; special Uncle and Aunt Merle and Marjorie Zastrow. Memorials to his wife and daughter would be appreciated.
Funeral service in Livonia, MI, will be held 11:00 AM on Sat. Feb. 16, 2013 at R.G & G.R. Harris Funeral Home in Livonia, MI. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday 1-9 PM.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Sat. Feb. 23, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Watertown with the Rev. David Groth officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday 9:00 AM until the time of service.
