Stephen L. Siegel, 65 of Dundas, MN (formally of Watertown) went to be with his Heavenly Savior on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his home.
Steve was born on July 21, 1951 in Watertown, WI, the son of Vernon and Lucille (Zachow) Siegel. Steve is a 1969 graduate of Watertown High School. After high school, Steve served his country honorably in the US Navy. Steve's love for his country, and the men and women that have fought to preserve it, ran deep. He was a member of the AMVETS Local 35, VFW Post 3709, American Legion Posts 189 & 305, Vietnam Vets of Jefferson County, served with the Patriot Guard, rode with Because We Care (a motorcycle group in the service of their community), and ran the VFW Bingo for many years. Steve wasn't just a man of honor where his country was concerned, but he was man who loved, honored, and cherished his family. Steve married the love of his life, Deb Wegner, on October 1, 1999 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Watertown. The marriage came with an instant family and Steve fit the bill - perfectly. Steve's love for his wife and children was undisputable. He was a provider, a leader, a comforter, an awesome dad, and a pure joy to be around. Steve was a special guy and his family will miss him until they meet again.
Steve is survived by: his loving Wife Deb of Dunas, MN; Children Cassie (Phil Hendrickson) Becker of St. Michael, MN, Stephanie Siegel of Dundas, MN, and Jon-Paul Siegel of Clyman, WI; Mother Lucille Siegel of Roswell, NM; Siblings Ronald Siegel, Stacey Lister, Susan Head, and Wayne (Consuelo) Siegel; Brothers-in-Law Bruce (Lori) Wegner and Eric Wegner. Steve is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, many dear friends, and his 4 legged buddies - Chi Chi, Tillie, and Max.
He is preceded in death by: his father in 2015, his Parents-in-Law Sandra (2015) and Delano (1999) Wegner, and his Son-in-Law Jeremy Becker in 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Ixonia with Rev. Allen Tetzlaff presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
