Another of God’s saints entered eternal glory in heaven with the passing of Sandra G. (Warmuth) Grover, who left us on March 19, 2018 after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.
Cherished wife of Tim Grover, devoted mother to Trevor Warmuth, Pat (Jessica) Grover, Spencer Grover, and Cora Grover, Sandy was born on November 5, 1965 to Eugene “Dick” and Dolores Warmuth. Sandy attended school in Mequon, WI where she made many close friends. Sandy and Tim married and blended their families in 1996, and rejoiced in the birth of a daughter to complete their family.
Sandy was employed by American Family for over 25 years and thoroughly enjoyed her work, and her co-workers even more. She was a dedicated employee, and the family extends their appreciation for the kindness received from their work family.
Sandy brought joy to so many, to her family and to those she chose to bring into her family. She was called “Mama Sandy” by many of her children’s friends, and her door (and heart) were open to them all. Throughout her ordeal she remained steadfast in her faith and was a living testament of that faith to all.
Sandy loved everything Disney and Christmas and shared that love in many ways with us all, starting her Christmas countdown on December 26. And though scheduled twice, Sandy fell ill before she could take her long-anticipated trip to Disney.
Sandy is survived by her husband and children, Trevor Warmuth, Patrick (Jessica) Grover, and Cora Grover; brother John (Karen) Warmuth, sisters Carol (Chip) Felland and Joan (Dave) Umscheid, and brother Gene Warmuth, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her father- and mother-in-law, Arthur and Darlene Grover, and brother- and sister-in-law Dan and Jill Grover and their family and her beloved “critters.”
Sandy was preceded in death by her son Spencer Grover, and her parents.
A funeral service will be held to honor the life of Sandra at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo with the Rev. James Adomeit presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
