Ruth Cole

Ruth M. Cole, 82, of Watertown, WI, went to be with her Lord on December 29, 2019. She passed away peacefully at the Rainbow Inpatient Center with family at her side following an extended battle with Alzheimer’s.

Ruth was born on April 6th, 1937 in Spring Bay, on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. The daughter of Rolo Hunt Fraser and Annie Elizabeth (Barr) Fraser. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald A. Fraser and sister-in-law, R. Alfreda (Cole) Wilson. Survivors include her husband, Jack A. Cole; children, Catherine A. Harrison (Jim), Stephen M. Cole, Lori R. Foy (Shonn); 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Orr (Bill) and Carolyn Mackie; sister-in-law, Frances Fraser; brother-in-law, Carl Wilson; 13 nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In her free time she enjoyed art, teaching French, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Ruth loved sports, especially softball, hockey, bowling, broomball, and after retirement golf. She will be greatly missed by all.

A local visitation will be available from 5:00-6:30pm on Thursday, January 2nd at Calvary Baptist Church, 792 Milford St, Watertown, WI 53094. A service celebrating Ruth's life will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, January 6th, at Faith Baptist Church, 26510 Schoenherr Rd, Warren, MI 48089 with Pastor Tim Berlin presiding. A visitation will also take place at Faith Baptist Church from 3:00pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038 on Tuesday, January 7, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Maranatha Baptist University Student Scholarship Fund in memory of Ruth Cole.
