Russell G. Loeffler, 83, of Watertown passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Dycora Transitional Health.
Russell was born on September 18, 1934 in Watertown the son of George and Malinda (Kenhammer) Loeffler. Russell served his country in the Army National Guard, discharging in 1960. After he left the Guard, Russell married his loving wife Marie Etscheid on May 26, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church and the two enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. God blessed Russell and Marie’s marriage with 6 children. Russell was a truck driver by trade. He drove truck for Allard Express for 30 years. He also drove for Fischer Barton and Clairmont during his career. Russell was known for his green thumb and had a passion for plants and flowers. He and his wife owned and operated Loeffler’s Greenhouse for 15 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he will be missed by his family and friends.
Russell is survived by: his wife, Marie; 6 children: Debra Cahoon, Curtis (Lori) Loeffler, Brenda(Randy) Kuehl, Chris(Steven) Stanke, Roger(Jodi) Loeffler, and Rhonda Loeffler; 11 Grandchildren Melissa, James, Logan, Dylan, Jordan, Madeline, Brandan, Sophia, Gavin, Megan and Samantha; Great Grandson John III; 6 siblings: Rachel Miller, Duane Loeffler, Joan Miles, Donna Miles, Allen Loeffler, and Ken Loeffler. Russell is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; 3 brothers: George Loeffler, Donnie Loeffler, and Ronnie Loeffler; and 2 Sisters: Dorothy Sprague and Lorraine Hoeft.
Memorials in Russell’s honor may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Richwood, WI.
A funeral service to honor the life of Russell will be held at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Watertown on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00AM until the time of service.
