Waterloo-Ronald E. "RT" Thomas 84, of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Willowbrook Nursing Home.
RT was born on December 1 1931 in Columbus, WI the son of Charles and Anna (Selge) Thomas. RT served with the US Army from 1950-1952. He married Nancy Etscheid in May of 1953 at the Waterloo Methodist Church. RT worked as a foreman with Perry Printing in Waterloo for 22 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was happiest when he was surrounded by people.
Survivors include: Daughter Sue Thomas of Phoenix, AZ; Son Michael Thomas of Waterloo; four grandchildren Stacy Singer, Megan Ramos, Sara Ramos and Roger "RT" Ramos; four sisters Virginia Adams, Marianne Crose, Avis Dalton and Sandra Sutton; brother Edward Thomas. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister Germaine Kleppe.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Waterloo V.F.W. Post 115 S. Monroe St. Waterloo, WI 53594. Military Honors will be held at 1:30 PM.
