Roger D. Schleif, 82 of Watertown, passed away on March 10, 2017 at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.
Roger was born in Watertown on July 15, 1934, the Son of William and Emma (Jaeger) Schleif. He is 1952 Graduate of Watertown High School. On February 20, 1955, he married Betty Johnson at Zion Episcopal Church of Oconomowoc. Roger was a Meat Cutter at Piggly Wiggly until his retirement. Prior to that, he worked as a Meat Cutter for Kroger and A&P. His interests included playing his tuba in the "Bob Strege Goosetown Dutchman Band" and with "Will Eske's Polka Band" for many years. He also was an avid NASCAR and Green Bay Packer fan. He was a longtime member of the Watertown Outbarders club and played basketball with the Watertown Stags and city league.
Roger is survived by: his Wife Betty of 62 years; Sons Scott (Cherryl) and Patric of Watertown; Grandson Tanner Keese; Great-Granddaughter Tahlia Keeser; Sisters-in-Law Virginia Johnson of Oconomowoc and Beverly Ryan of Pewaukee. He is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sister Dorothy, and Niece Debra.
Roger's wishes are that there not be a funeral service, but we will all dearly miss him.
