Robert Mcfarland

Robert T. McFarland 88, of Watertown passed away Wednesday August 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Robert was born December 22, 1923 in Watertown the son of Raphael & Loretta (Coughlin) McFarland. He married the love of his life Ruth Nistler on May 13, 1947 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Robert was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He also was a member of 4H, Knights of Columbus and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his family and friends. Robert lived his life through his love of God and his Faith.
Survivors include: wife Ruth McFarland of Watertown; 4 daughters Rose (Jack) Erdman of Elkorn, Jean (George) Anderson of Bellevue, WA, Mary (Glenn) Zwieg of Watertown and Ellen (Roger) Suhr of Watertown; 3 sons Ronald (Nancy) of Merrimac, Fran (Patti) of Watertown and Ric (Michele) of Watertown; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Edward (Donna) and George (Mary) both of Watertown; 2 sister-in-laws Lois (Brent) Schmidt of Watertown and Helen Nistler of Green Bay; Preceded in death by his parents, father and mother in law Joe & Gladyce Nistler, sister Gertrude (Joe) Stangler, son in law Pat Schauer, Brother in law Paul Nistler and Great granddaughter Olivia Kletsch. In lieu of flowers memorials to Marquardt Hospice or the future youth Center of St. Bernard's.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Aug. 18, 2012, 3:00 PM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. Visitation will be held on Saturday at 12:00 PM until the time of mass, at the church. Rite of Committal will follow in the parish cemetery.
