Robert G. "Bob" Lipski, age 67, of Watertown, passed away Friday November 1, 2013. He passed away surrounded by his family at his home after a lengthy illness. Bob was born August 8,1946 in Milwaukee, WI the son of the late George and Lydia (Tisch) Lipski. Bob is a graduate of Watertown High School. He married Patricia Ann Dobbratz in 1967 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. He worked as a Union Pipe Fitter at All-Temp for 43 years, after which he worked for 3 years part time at Ace Hardware. He is a member of St. Luke's Ev. Lutheran Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years Patricia Lipski, son Rob R. (Tracy) Lipski of Mount Pleasant, brother -in-law Dennis (Pat) Dobbratz of Bradenton, FL, brother-in-law DuWayne Springer of Jefferson, mother-in-law Ginny Dobbratz of Watertown, and further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents,a sister Dolores Springer and father-in-law Herman Dobbratz.
He was an avid lover of sports, Musky fishing and Elvis Presley. Many of his happiest moments were attained during the many years of coaching baseball in Rob's younger years as well as the countless hours he spent with Rob's core group of friends during the highschool and college years.
He was immensely loyal and selfless to his family and friends. He will be missed by those he held close more than words could ever begin to give justice to. He was the epitome of a silent and strong man and "he did it his way".
Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at ST. LUKE'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 301 Clark St. Watertown with Rev.Anthony Schultz and Rev. Mark Gartner presiding. Burial will follow at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia. A Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home, 213 S. 5th St. Watertown, and also from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the Church.
