Robert Horon

Robert “Bob” L. Horon, 64, of Waterloo passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Bob was born on December 6, 1953 in Indiana the son of Joseph and Alva (Davis) Horon. Bob worked as a mechanical engineer and he worked for many different companies throughout his career. Bob loved to work out in his garage and tinker with his many projects. He referred to his garage as his “Dawg House.” His loving family recalls the countless hours he spent out in the “Dawg House”. It was his favorite place to be. Bob enjoyed frequenting garage sales and thrift shops to look for new treasures. He was also a people person and enjoyed spending time with friends. Bob loved being out in nature, hunting, and fishing. He will be dearly missed.

Robert is survived by: his 3 children, Toby (Jodi) Horon of Lake Geneva, WI,  Melissa (Eric) Waara of Sheboygan, WI, and Michael Horon of Sheboygan, WI; 5 grandchildren, Cody, Ethan, Bennett, Allison, and Abigail; a special friend, Mary Coppens of Waterloo, WI; and 7 siblings, Pam (Rev. Carl) Fitchett of Winamac, IN, John (Claire) Horon of Escondido, CA, Annette Jones of Portage, IN, Gloria Slawnikowski of Wheatfield, IN, Dennis Ross of LaPorte, IN, Tammy Ross of Lewisburg, TN and Michelle Cole of Terre Haute, IN.

He is preceded in death by: his parents and brothers Joe and Billy.

A private family service to honor Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
