Robert Bartz

Robert James Bartz of Waterloo, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Robert was born on August 22, 1936, the son of Julius and Mary Bartz. He married Darlene Bartz (West) and the couple enjoyed 64 years of marriage. He retired as a Mortgage Loan Officer. After retirement Robert kept busy for 7 years as a greeter at Walmart. He was an active church member, and served on the synod board of trustees, one of the first kingdom workers and served on the Church council. He participated in the community of Waterloo, WI. He was an avid reader and enjoyed talking politics.

Robert is survived by his wife Darlene, daughter Elizabeth Bartz, daughter-in-law Jayne Bartz, and son-in-law Scott Wright. Grandchildren: David (Amy), Rebekah (Nate), Sarah, Elizabeth, Chloe, Corbin, Abigail, and Logan. Great-grandchildren: Bryce; Samuel; and Aurora. Siblings Charlie and Carol Bartz.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother Julius and Mary Bartz, children, Pastor James Bartz, LT COL. Paul Bartz and Deborah (Bartz) Wright. Siblings: Donald, Clarence, Leonard, Arden, Carl, Bill, Alvin and Elizabeth.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday,  November 5, 2021 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial to follow at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
