RitaRae M. Prahl 82, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center in Summit.
RitaRae was born on Jan. 3, 1942 in Stevens Point, WI the daughter of Ray and Rita (Checolinski) Kaskey. She graduated from Wausau Senior High in 1959 and attended UW- Stevens Point. RitaRae held various office jobs during her career, including children's librarian, but she really found her calling in assisted living facilities (St. Joseph's for the aged and finally Highland House) where she worked a total of 30 years. She was a charter member at River Valley Alliance Church, the friendly church on the hill. She held the office of Alliance Women's president; a member of the choir; welcomed and greeted people with a smile and a handshake and participated in many Bible studies. She and her husband, Edwin, deceased in 2022, traveled to many western states. They had a cabin in Middle Inlet up north for many years.
Survivors include: sister Teri Doughty; nieces Tricia Devlin and Erin Weldon; step-children Melody (Mitch) Goss, Cindi Prahl, and Sharon (Jim) Gardiner; grandnephew Hunter Devlin, grandnieces Madeline Neely and Margot Neely; 2 great-grandnephews; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sister-in-law Sylvia Prahl and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Kathy Prahl. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Edwin.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at River Valley Alliance Church in Watertown with Rev. David Zimmermann presiding.
