Richard F. Zastrow Jr., 86 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Marquardt Health Center.
Richard was born in Watertown on Dec. 4, 1930, the Son of Richard and Viola (Beck) Zastrow. Richard attended St. Mark's Lutheran grade school and Watertown High School. He started farming with his parent's on the family farm. He farmed many years on his own farm on Alvos Road, until his retirement. He enjoyed his vacation trips to Hawaii with his brother Orville and many other trips with his sister Etta Mae. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, and bowling. He also enjoyed playing Sheepshead with his neighbors weekly.
Survivors include: Sister Etta Mae Smith of Madison; Brothers Frederick (Rose) Zastrow of Watertown, David (Betty) Zastrow of Boulder Junction, and Tom Zastrow of Bonduel; He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death: his parents; Sister Karen; Brothers Roy and Orville; Sisters-in-Law Barb, Adeline, Betty and Barb; special friend Lois Zastrow Hensler.
Memorials to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, St. Mark's Organ Fund, or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank all the staff at Marquardt and their Hospice for all the loving care and compassion given to Richard.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Backus presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens following the service.
