Richard R. Harris 77, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday Oct. 21, 2014 at home.
Richard was born on Feb. 18, 1937 and was raised by his foster parents Alex and Martha Woelffer, who brought him up as a child of God. He graduated from Northwestern Preparatory School in Watertown. On Nov. 1, 1958 he married Carolyn Heller. While Dick was very proud of his business and his success as a tool and die maker, he felt his biggest accomplishment was his family. He loved watching his family and his trees grow as well as watching the various wildlife in his backyard. Richard was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served on the planning and Town of Emmet Boards for 14 years.
Survivors include: wife Carolyn Heller of Watertown; four children Denise (Michael) Preinfalk of Watertown, Michael (Jessie) Harris of Pardeeville, Susan (Joseph) Ellis of Watertown and Annette Klumb of Watertown; eleven grandchildren Joshua, Jacob, Alexander, Samantha, Dalton, Stealth, Leonie, Caitlin, Tyler, Angelique and Austin; great grandson Coby; and his black lab Molly; sister Donna (Robert) Hartwig of Watertown. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law Lonnie Bischoff.
