Ramona M. Sullivan, 84 of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 4, 1931 at home in Columbus, WI, the daughter of Merlin and Hazel (Nickerson) Will. Ramona was the oldest of 13 children and the mother of 6 children. She married George Sullivan in November of 1949 at St. Columbkille Church of Elba. The couple enjoyed 30 years of marriage until George's death in 1979. Ramona was a graduate of the Chicago Institute of Design. She had a "green thumb" and loved to garden. She established her own flower business in Waterloo for 10 years, Flowers by Ramona from, 1964-1974. She was a true artist and loved to travel. Ramona worked at Skalitzky Jewelers of Sun Prairie for 20 plus years. She was a devout Catholic. Ramona worked on her golf game at Columbus Country Club for many years and followed the Wisconsin Badgers closely. Her sense of humor and wit will be missed by many.
Ramona is survived by: her Children Mike (Margaret) Sullivan of Waterloo, Patricia (Ron) Wells of Vancouver, WA, Mary (Timothy) Nelson of Waterloo, Josie (Casey Behrend) Sullivan of Waterloo, Brian (Nancy) Sullivan of DePere; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; Brothers Joe, Frank, John, Donald, and Dan, Sisters Kathy, Sharon, Jill, and Judy. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband, her Son Timothy in infancy, Grandson Joseph, Sister Dixie, and Brothers Otto and Peter.
Memorials in Ramona's honor to Briarpatch Youth Services of Madison would be appreciated.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Holy Family Parish - Waterloo Campus with Fr. Jorge Miramontes presiding. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5:00PM-7:00PM at the church and on Tuesday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place St. Columbkille Cemetery of Elba.
