Ralph V. Sell, 68, of Watertown, Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Marquardt Health Center.
Ralph was born on August 25, 1952 in Hustisford, Wisconsin, the son of Virgil and Helen (Hensler) Sell. He was a 1970 graduate of Markesan High School, and then continued his education at Dakota Wesleyan University on a music scholarship. Ralph was a past member of the Beaver Dam Community Theatre, Madison Civic Opera Company, La Jolla Community Theatre in La Jolla, California, San Diego Gay Man’s Choir, and was president of the Beaver Dam Oratorio Society for 1 year. Ralph was also a chef for 19 years where he met and prepared food for Johnny Carson, Elizabeth Taylor, Sada Thompson, Louise Latham, Ginger Rogers, Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Katherine Crosby, Cindy Williams, Carol Burnett, Frank Sinatra, Frank Sinatra Jr., Andy Williams, Jesse Jackson, Kristie McNickel, and many political figures.
He is survived by his siblings: Mary Weihert; Steve (Sylvia) Sell; Tom Sell; Greg Sell; David (Ranee) Sell; Donald Sell; and Keith Sell. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Christine Wolf, 1 nephew, and 1 sister-in-law.
Per Ralph’s request there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
