Paul V. Schroedl, 72, of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Columbus Health and Rehab.

Paul was born on June 22, 1952, in Madison, the son of Francis and Della (Sukowatey) Schroedl. Paul proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1971-1973. He married Roxanne Ricco on December 22, 1983, and the couple enjoyed 41 years of marriage. He worked for many years as a welder fabricator at Contree. In Paul’s free time he had a passion for working on cars, but above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his wife Roxanne, children Travis (Brenda) Ricco, Stefanie Kearns, and Eric Schowalter. 8 grandchildren: Nikki, Kasie, Alyssa, Mitchell, Lakia, Aria, Drew, Olivia, and 2 great-grandsons Carson and Marshall. Siblings Rose Wilkes, Ronald (Susan) Schroedl, Eileen (Dick) Deinlien, and Dennis (Darlene) Schroedl. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Missy.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo with Deacon Joe Stafford presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will take place at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland following the service.
