Patricia Ann Svatos, 71, of Watertown, passed away on July 8, 2024, following a rapid decline with Dementia. She is living her eternal life in Heaven with her Lord and has been reunited with her husband once again.
Patricia was born on November 15, 1952, in Watertown, the daughter of Leslie and Francis (Behling) Engelke. At the young age of 21, she met the man she would spend the rest of her life loving and Bob and Patricia were married a few short months later. She enjoyed her work as an executive secretary at Reiss Industries until her retirement, when both her and Bob were able to enjoy some quality and peaceful time together. Anyone who knew her also knew that she lived her life for her family. Patricia’s grandchildren were her greatest joys, and she was so incredibly proud of her family.
Patricia is survived by her children; Traci (Andy) Zietlow, Angie (Dayne) Zastrow and Brian (Jamie) Svatos; and grandchildren Alexis, Ashley, Allison, Chelsea, Courtney, Lucas, Joshua, Bryson and Blake; brother George (Lou) Engelke; sister Diane (Rich) Blank.
The family would like to thank: Pastor Walther for his prayers and love during this time; the staff of Lakehouse in Lake Mills for their compassionate care; Patricia’s Rainbow Community Care Hospice Team; Tricia Schmidt and Nicole Sommerfeldt for their specialized guidance and care; in-home caregivers Dana Harrington and Vicki Vanbeem who were instrumental in allowing her to remain home as long as possible; and a special thank you to Patricia’s neighbors and dear fiends for checking in on her, bringing her meals and responding to her phone calls when she needed help. You were such a blessing.
Memorials in Patricia’s honor may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church or Rainbow Community Care.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00AM on Friday, July 12, 2024, at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. Peter Wells presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00AM until the time of service. Patricia’s body will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
