Owen C. Pritchard, 78 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Jefferson Memory Care Center.
Owen was born on October 27, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of W. Howell and Emily (Raschka) Pritchard. Owen received a certificate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison Farm Short Course. Owen worked at Brandt Corp. of Watertown for many years and later at Neosho Trompler Inc. as a Parts Driver. He served in the US Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Owen was a "snap-happy" photographer and loved documenting his adventures. He was a zealous Edsel enthusiast and a long-time member of River Valley Alliance Church of Watertown. Owen loved to invite people to church, especially from McDonald's, "And the peace of God that transcends all understanding... " was lived out daily. He loved to talk and served as Head Greeter and Usher for many years. Owen was loved, appreciated and will be missed by many.
Owen is survived by: his Daughter Kristine (Craig) Owen of Phoenix, AZ; 2 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; Siblings Lowell (Marilyn) of Okeechobee, FL, Dorothy (Wes) Ripley of New Berlin, David (Debra) of Ixonia, Lauriann (David) Sayers of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Greg (Linda) of Ankeny, IA. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Brother Howell in infancy, Sister Margaret Glasgwyn.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at River Valley Alliance Church with Rev. David A. Zimmerman presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at 2:00PM at Wauwatosa Cemetery (2405 N. 76th St. Wauwatosa, WI 53226).
