Orville E. C. Rupnow 82 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Thursday June 15, 2017 at Dycora Nursing Home Fort Atkinson.
Orville was born on April 3, 1935 in Oconomowoc the son of Hilbert and Mabel (Weege) Rupnow. He married Elizabeth Fischer on Sept. 3, 1955. Orville was a dairy farmer in Ixonia for many years and also drove bus for Dousman and Oconomowoc Transport. He was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church in Oconomowoc. He loved collecting Farmall tractors and always displayed them on his mantel. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include: 5 children Karen (Gary) Maas of Eau Claire, Doug (Sheryl) of Watertown, Dan (Mary) of Watertown, Darrell (Jackie) of Sussex and Greg (Tara) of Ixonia; 17 grandchildren Josh, Jenny, Jake (Jamie), Jeanna, Matt (Dana), Melissa, Michael (Danielle), Jacob, Billy (Jessica), Leanne (Scott), Justin, Samantha, Jessica, Tony, Jessica, Karsen and Jadyn; 10 great grandchildren Emma, Tori, Cody, Milo, Brecken, Liam, Ava, Ivan, Jarek, Maegan; Brothers Roger (Helen) of Ixonia and Dean (Julie) of Weyerhauser; 3 Sisters Alida Jaeger of Watertown, Janet (Fred) Genz of Ixonia, LaVonne Reinke of Oak Park, IL; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son David and brother Lawrence. Memorials to St. Matthews Lutheran Church Oconomowoc would be appreciated.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday June 19, 2017 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc with the Rev. Daniel Schmidt presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in La Belle Cemetery in Oconomowoc.
