Norris Lee Meyer passed into his eternal rest on February 20, 2015 at the Marquardt Health Center in Watertown, Wisconsin. Norris was born on July 19, 1947 in Watertown, SD to Clayton and Burndine (Bundy) Meyer of South Shore, SD. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rauville Township, Codington County, South Dakota and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of South Shore, SD. Norris lived with his parents and siblings on their ranch north of South Shore until he was almost eight years old.
In July of 1955 Norris moved to Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, Wisconsin. At Bethesda Norris received loving Christian care from many, many wonderful people for nearly 60 years.
Norris is survived by his sisters Arlys (Deano) Barrow of Goodwin, SD and Marlene (Tom) Hansen of Kearney, NE, his sister-in-law Connie (Randall) Bruno of Scranton, KS. He is also survived by three nieces, Dione (Scott) Smith, Joy (Mike) Keel and Heather (Tyson) Bruntz and four nephews, Jerry (Ashley) Meyer, Jason (Shara) Meyer, Spencer (Abby) Hansen, and Logan Hansen; seven great-nieces, Staysha Smith, Hannah, Allison, Rachel, Kinzey and Moxy Meyer and Piper Hansen; six great-nephews, Nico Meyer, Zachary and Jakeb Smith, Victor and Eric Keel, and Briggen Bruntz: uncles and aunts, Del (Eloise) Meyer, Lon (Miriam) Meyer), Howard Strege, Ruth (Wayne) Elshere, Eunice Meyer, Maxine Bundy and Rose Thomas; and many cousins. Norris is also survived by all of his wonderful Bethesda family, residents and employees, who shared his life at Bethesda. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Rodney Meyer and his nephew, Jeff Barrow.
