Norine B. Hasbrook

Norine B. Hasbrook, age 88, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

A time of visitation will be held will be held on Saturday, September 14, at 2 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3 pm, and a meal immediately following, all to take place in the Wisconsin Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church, (Wisconsin Academy) N2355 Duborg Rd, Columbus, WI 53925. Pastor Jonathan Fetrick will officiate.

Norine was born on February 7, 1936 to Clifford and Rachael (Wildermuth) Grant in Cambridge, IL, the middle child of 11 children.

She was a 1954 graduate of Cambridge High School. She married Donald Hasbrook on June 24, 1956, in Kewanee, IL. She worked most of her career caring for the elderly as a nursing assistant, but also cared for children in her home.

She was an active member of her church serving in children’s departments and as a deaconess. She loved hosting guests for Sabbath lunch, gardening with Don, cuddling the grand and great grandbabies. Music soothed and lightened her heart in her final years. She will be sorely missed.

Norine is survived by her husband, Don, of 68 years; her children, Lisa (Tim) Nash, and their children Amanda (Judah) Nash, Andrew (Kate) Nash, Anthony (Megan) Nash; Kristi (Clint) Shotwell and their children, Lindsey Shotwell, Emma (Victor) Lewis, Shelby Shotwell, Spencer Shotwell; Tonia (Joey) Crary and their children, Zachary (Vanessa) Sloan, Meghan (Rod) London, Olivia (Dalin) Elmer, Jackson and Lukas. Great grandchildren: Rivkah, Ben, Shoshanah, Ezra, Elliot, Lizzy, Baby, Aries, Ren, Izzy, Emery, Mila, Addy, Beck, Margot, Maeve and Tori. She is further survived by her sisters, Joyce (Jan) Gibson, Veronica (Paul) Moon, Patricia Weyland, Linda (Jim) Justice, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family thanks the home aides and hospice staff for the support and care in her last days.
