Michael O. Zingshiem 72, of Marshall passed away on Saturday March 16, 2019 at home.
Michael was born on Dec. 14, 1946 in Madison, WI the son of Antony and Mary (Trainor) Zingshiem. Michael was a graduate of Marshall High School and later served his country during the Vietnam War. Michael married the love of his life Sue Knapton on May 26, 1973 in Waterloo. He worked as a pressman with Perry Printing in Waterloo for 37 years. He was a member of the Marshall Legion Post 279. Michael was very artistic and talented. He was known for his oil paintings, metal art and wine making. Michael had a great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include: Wife Sue Zingshiem of Marshall; Daughter Becky Jo Thompson of Green Lake; Step Son Scott Heiman of Lake Mills; Brothers Tim of Janesville and Pat of Montello; Sister Sharon Wilson of Deforest; 5 grandchildren Brandon, Alyssa, Amanda, Lydia and Rocky; 2 great grandchildren Gabe and Zuri; Mother-in-law Violet Lafler. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter Lillie.
A Remembrance Gathering for Michael will be held at the Marshall American Legion on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 1-4pm.
