Michael F. Dowgwillo, 69 of Watertown, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 with his dear wife at his bedside.
Mike was born on May 31, 1947 in Chicago, IL the son of Henry and Virginia (Zywiecz) Dowgwillo. He is a Graduate of UW-Whitewater, earning a Business degree. On January 19, 1974, he married Lynn Youniss at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Green Bay. Mike worked as an Insurance Adjustor for many years, the majority of which spent with Cincinnati Financial. His Catholic faith was a lifelong pursuit. Mike was thrilled to be a part his wife's family and is described as the perfect son-in-law. Fairness and goodness was his desire and he welcomed others with the utmost sincerity and patience. Mike's family devotion was a gift and spoke to his character. His children and grandchildren were his top priority and he made himself available to help in anyway. He thought of himself as humorous and treated others, even strangers, with kindness and respect. Mike's family counts being part of his life a privilege. He will be dearly missed.
His is survived by: his Wife Lynn; Children Erin (Curt) Dowgwillo-Kaczor of Wauwatosa, Matthew (Lindsay) of Minneapolis, MN, and Nicholas of Ypsilanti, MI; Grandchildren Isabella and Beckett; a Brother Hank (Barbara) of Glen Ellyn, IL; and Parents-in-Law Donald and Jeanine Youniss of Green Bay. Mike is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents and his Brothers Joseph and Phillip.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Fr. Alex Carmel presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.
