Marvel Blank

Marvel L. Blank, 78 of Watertown passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.

Marvel was born on February 6, 1939 in Lake Mills, Wisconsin the daughter of Joe and Elta Hoffman. Marvel married Robert Blank on March 24, 1962 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown and the two enjoyed 46 years of marriage until his death in 2008. Marvel was a true woman. She worked as a beautician for the majority of her life and loved every minute of it. She loved to shop for shoes, go to lunch with her girlfriends and exercise every Tuesday and Thursday. Marvel also had a very special companion in her dog, Bernie. Marvel’s family says that she had a wonderful and fun personality and she was loved by all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.

Marvel is survived by: Her son Mark (Jackie) Blank; 4 Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sell, Lindsay Blank, Tamara (Martin Gonzalez) Sell, and Zackery Sell; Great-Granddaughter Mariana; Sister Marlene Bates; and special companion Bernie. Marvel is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and other friends.

She is preceded in death by: her Parents, Husband Robert, Son Todd, and Brother Gary.

Memorials in Marvel’s honor may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Backus presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Burial at Lutheran Cemetery will take place on Saturday immediately following the service.
