Marlene Faupl

Marlene Faupl, 86 of Watertown, previously of Menomonee Falls, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Marquardt Park Terrace in Watertown.

Marlene was born on April 30, 1933 in Hamburg, Germany the daughter of Bruno and Adele (Theinert) Lenck. She married Emerich Faupl in Milwaukee on October 30, 1954 and the couple enjoyed 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. Together Marlene and Emerich raised two sons, Michael and Richard. She was proud of, and thoroughly enjoyed her long career as a nurse. Marlene loved her family. She was a family woman first and foremost.  She loved spending time with her loved ones at their cabin up north. Marlene cherished all the fun times she had as a “Grandma” and “Oma” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, downhill skiing, dancing with her husband, and always enjoyed Emerich’s excellent homemade chicken noodle soup. Marlene and Emerich also enjoyed traveling together. The two were able to go on many trips all over the world during their retirement years. Marlene enjoyed all life had to offer and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Marlene is survived by her two sons: Michael (Jayne) Faupl of Bourbon, Missouri, Richard (Cathy) Faupl of Watertown; 4 grandchildren Jackie, Jeremy, Daniel and Jimmy; three sisters: Fidi (Jim) Pavalock, Hanna (Bill) Regal, and Berdie (Rocky) Rennie. She is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
