Marleita Frisby

Marleita F. Frisby, 76 of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

Marleita was born March 25, 1946 in Niles, MI, the daughter of Worthie and Winnie (Ross) Haney. On August 13, 1966, she married James Frisby in Goshen, IN, and the couple had four children. Marleita had a passion for people and deeply enjoyed ministering alongside her husband as they traveled across many states. She loved to sing in the church choir and in church Specials, or in her free time humming or singing to herself and her family. Marleita was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Marleita is survived by: her children James (Lisa) Frisby II of Clearwater, FL, Jonathan (Jennifer) Frisby of Plainfield, IL and Michele (Craig) Heisel of Watertown ; grandchildren Hannah, Brandon, Zachary, Gage, Easton, Laney, Laurie, and Lindsey; great-grandchildren Ransom, Silas, Theo, Penelope and Landon; siblings Cheryl (Dennis) Yoder, Worthie (Sandra) Haney II, Dallas (Valerie) Haney, and Terry Haney. Marleita is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

Marleita is preceded in death by: her parents; husband James; son Jeremy; and grandchildren Sammy and Julia.

A Memorial Service in honor of Marleita’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church of Watertown with Rev. Robert Loggans presiding. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
