Mark A. Judd (Schenck) 51, of Watertown passed away on Tuesday Sept. 4, 2012 at his home ending a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Mark was born on June 7, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids the son of Winston and June "Betty" (Newby) Judd. He was a 1979 graduate of Jefferson high school. He worked as a machinist at Trek in Waterloo for thirty years. Mark married Heidi Funk (Holzhueter) on Aug. 6, 2005. He was a member of Lake Mills United Methodist Church, the Conservation Congress and the Oakland Gun Club. Mark was a Hunter Safety Instructor, Gunsmith, and Boy Scout Leader. He also enjoyed working in his shop, riding motorcycle, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include: wife Heidi Judd of Watertown; children Jackie (Kyle) Broom of Cottage Grove and Ben (Rachel) Judd of Waterloo; step children Cory Funk of Stone Bank and Ryan Funk of Watertown; grandchildren Sadie and Mark; mother Betty Judd of Jefferson; sisters Karen (Willie) Brown of Hancock and Linda (Bill) Crossman of Fife Lake, MI; brothers Gary (Barb) Schenck of Fort Atkinson and Bob (Terri) Schenck of Madison. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother Larry. Memorials may be given to Lake Mills United Methodist Church, Rainbow Hospice or U.W. Hospital Oncology Center.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday Sept. 7, 2012 at Lake Mills United Methodist church with the Rev. Bill Mc Bride presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday 4-7 PM and on Friday 10:00 AM until the time of service all at the church.
