Marion E. Larson, 87, of Watertown passed away peacefully on Sunday March 31, 2019 at Park Ridge assisted living in Watertown.
Marion was born on September 11, 1931 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Rev. Vernon and Ruth Miller. Marion married her husband Ronald Larson on August 20, 1960 in Brillion, Wisconsin and the couple enjoyed 47 years of marriage. She worked most of her life at Watertown Unified School District teaching 2nd grade, she loved being around children and sharing her knowledge with them. Marion was active in the church for many years and in her free time she enjoyed sewing, baking, embroidery, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. Marion loved all holidays, most importantly winter holidays and watching the snow fall, above all Marion enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her children Steve Larson of Watertown, Tom (Cynthia) Larson of Tomahawk, WI, Julie (Wes) Crnkovich of Watertown, 7 grandchildren, Venessa; Jacob; Katie; Erik; Ryan; Ryder; and ZacKary. Her sister Hope Krueger of Sheboygan Falls, WI. and her brother Paul Miller of Ormond Beach, Florida. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials in Marion’s honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the family.
A funeral service for Marion will be held on Friday April 5, 2019 at 11:00am at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Watertown with Rev. Robert Koepcke presiding. A visitation will take place at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home on Thursday April 4, 2019 from 5-7pm and also at the church on Friday from 10am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service.
