Marcella Rosemary Koenig, 83, of Racine, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at her home.
She was born in Watertown on October 10, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Werth) Koenig. Marcella lived in Union Grove for 15 years, and then moved to Burlington in 1965. She lived there until moving to Racine in 1994. Marcella was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working puzzles, bowling, working in the yard, and walking. She also had a very special affection for animals.
Marcella is survived by: 2 nieces, Eljean Johnson of Las Vegas and Renee Sterwalt of Wasilla, AK. She is also survived by her former guardian Ethel Malvasio and family, dear friend Mary Byrnes, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, a sister, and three brothers.
The family would like to thank Grace Hospice and Visions of Life for all their wonderful care and compassion given to Marcella.
A funeral service will take place in the Glenview Memorial Gardens Chapel in Ixonia, Wisconsin on Monday, August 14th, 2017 from 9:30AM to 10:00AM with burial to follow.
