Lorraine Goetsch

Lorraine V. Goetsch, 93, of Watertown passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Heritage Homes in Watertown.

Lorraine was born on April 10, 1926 in Ixonia, the daughter of Raymond and Esther (Krueger) Rabenhorst. She married the love of her life Edgar Goetsch on October 15, 1944 at First Baptist Church in Watertown and the couple enjoyed 65 years of marriage before Edgar’s passing in 2009. Lorraine graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1944 and began working in the office for J.C. Penney for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown; she never hesitated to stop and witness to others and speak to them about her faith. Lorraine loved cooking and baking, especially trying new recipes. Above all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to have known her.

Lorraine is survived by her sons Neale (Barbara) Goetsch and Charles (Donna) Goetsch. 6 Grandchildren: Laura; Jeremy (Mary); Claire (Bill); Tracy (Guy); Amy; and Tyler (Jenny). 11 Great-Grandchildren: Joseph; Emily; Sarah; Marie; Jordan; Morgan; Payton; Brody; Logan; Britain; and Gabriel. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A funeral service for Lorraine will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown with Rev. Dr. Robert Loggans presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00am until the time of service. A private burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
