ELKIN Lois
Lois L. Elkin, age 86, of Watertown, went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2013. She was born November 14, 1926 in Howard Lake, MN, the daughter of Carl and Cora (Fiedler) Stueven. She married John Elkin on September 12, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN.
Lois had great faith and used her many talents to show her love of Jesus. She attended the Watertown Assembly of God church for over 20 years, and was active in the choir and women's ministries. Lois also loved taking trips to Israel and expressed her devotion to the Lord through her poetry, paintings, and ceramics.
Lois is survived by her husband of 66 years John, 5 children; Roberta (Gary) Bollenbach, Minda (Jerry) Jewson, Debby (Rick) Merkel, Steven (Michele) Elkin and John (Traci) Elkin, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a brother Dale (Una) Stueven. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother (Neil) and a sister (Irma).
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday August 1, 2013 at River City Church, 21 Pawnee St. Watertown. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the church on Thursday.
