Lila B. Dombrowski, 91, of Watertown passed away on Thursday Feb. 1, 2018 at the Heritage Homes in Watertown.
Lila was born on Feb. 10, 1926 in Lowell, WI the daughter of Leonard and Leta (Klug) Gernetzke. She married Phillip Worthen. He passed away along with their daughter Jerilynn on March 2, 1966. She later married Gilbert Dombrowski, and he later passed away on March 2, 1996.
Lila worked at Baso Controls in Watertown and EZ Paintr in Milwaukee until her retirement. She was an avid fan of the Brewers and Packers, and she enjoyed watching golf. In her later years she enjoyed playing pool, cards and Bingo with her friends at the Heritage Homes. When family came to visit, you could always find her waving goodbye from her window, and she would always expect a call when all were home safe. Above all, Lila loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as a kind and loving woman.
Survivors include: Children Phillip (Sheila) Worthen of Columbus, Cheryl Strobel of Waterloo, Steve (Kathy) Worthen of Racine and Chris (Derek Douglas) Worthen of Berkley, CA; 6 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; Sister Hazel Kelnhofer of Wauwatosa; Brothers Donald (Audrey) Gernetzke of Eagle River and Robert (Marie) Gernetzke of Beaver Dam; Sister- in-law Maxine Gernetzke of Watertown. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday February 11, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Todd Iverson presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
