Lawrence "Larry" Zoellick

July 21, 1940 — April 18, 2020

Lawrence “Larry” D. Zoellick, 79, of Watertown passed away peacefully into Jesus’s arms on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Larry was born on July 21, 1940 in Watertown, the son of William and Viola (Eggert) Zoellick. He married the love of his life Jodine Armstrong on July 6, 1973 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown and the couple enjoyed 46 years of marriage. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church for many years. Larry proudly served our country in the U.S. Army for 6 years. During his working years he worked as a tile settler for Lippert Tile, and later Hetzel Tile. In his free time he enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports teams, repairing clocks, traveling all over the world, and camping as a family very often. He enjoyed donating blood as often as he could for many years, but unfortunately had to stop when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Larry always looked forward to Friday’s when he and his brothers would be playing cards. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his wife Jodine, children: John ( Linda) Zoellick, Kathrine (Brian) Rieckenberg, Lori (Paul) Pelto and Doug (Julie) Schwantes. 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 brothers Charles (Delores) Zoellick, William (Jane) Zoellick, and Richard (Darlene) Zoellick. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Pearl and Barbara, and brothers Victor, Howard, Harvey, and Herb.

A private family funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. James Backus presiding. A public graveside service will be held following the funeral at 3:00pm at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
