Kenneth D. Minsch 95, of Waterloo passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison.
Ken was born on April 11, 1919 in Chicago, IL the son of Hans and Margaret (Kluge) Minsch. He married Ruby Schaller on October 7, 1944 at St. John's Lutheran Church.
He graduated from Crane Technical High School in Chicago and attended the Aeronautical University before working at Kellogg Switch Board and Supply. He worked there until he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served with the 330th Bomb Group in Guam. After leaving the service he and Ruby moved to Waterloo where he worked as a mechanic, bookkeeper and Service Manager at a garage. He later worked for Crepaco and retired from there in 1983.
Ken loved to travel and visited every state except Alaska. He was an avid sports fan. He would often listen to one game on the radio while watching another sporting event on TV. He loved music and
could often be heard singing at his assisted living facility. He also loved to dance. In fact, he danced
well into his 90's.

Survivors include: daughter Judy Woodrich of Wellesley, MA; two sons, Terry (Connie) Minsch of Saratoga Springs, NY and Robert Minsch of Arlington, TX; and five grandchildren. He is also survived
by other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, wife, grandson and
son-in-law.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 1-2. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery in the town of Portland.
