Kenneth W. Geishirt 91 of Madison, passed away on Friday Oct. 5, 2012.
Ken was born on March 9, 1921 in Madison the son of William & Lillian (Heideman) Geishirt. He was a graduate of Watertown high school. He married Violet Hein on Dec. 14, 1946 at St. John's Lutheran church in Waterloo. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. Ken was an electrician in Madison for many years. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran church in Madison. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Electricians Union. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, camping, and woodcarving.
Survivors include: wife Violet of Madison; daughter Joanne (Jerry) O' Donnell of La Valle, WI; grandchildren Jon (Donna) O'Donnell of Fayetteville, OH and Joni (Mark) Schnitzler of Shiloh, IL; great grandchildren Christopher, Rose, and Amanda O'Donnell, Nicole and Jennifer Schnitzler. Memorials to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Madison or the charity your choice.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM on Tuesday Oct. 9, 2012 at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo with the Rev. Philip Moldenhauer presiding. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 6:30 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held in the Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
