Kay was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1938 in Watertown, WI, the daughter of John Albert & Anita (Heidi) Kaddatz.
She graduated from Watertown Public High School with the Class of 1956 and remained active in organizing high school reunions for over 50 years. She greatly enjoyed her social outings with her friends, “The Culver’s Girls” and the “Lunch Bunch” who have been great friends for decades.

She spent her remaining 2 years as a resident of Heritage Homes where Ron had served as Chaplain until his death.
Kay had a deep love for God’s creation in nature which she passed on to her children and grandchildren through many camping trips, nature walks and African safaris. This passion led her to actively begin and serve Lutheran Girl Pioneers in several congregations. She enjoyed her years as a school bus driver keeping an eye on her children as they walked to and from school, working at Lambrecht’s gift shop in New Ulm, MN, working with Alpha Life Resources, singing with church choirs and being a loving Grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
