Joyce R. Squires 77, of Kendall (formerly of Sullivan) died February 9, 2014 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born on February 11, 1936 in Shawano County, WI to Neil and Helen (Hunt) Larson. She was one of 6 children. She was married to Dorwin L. Squires on June 15, 1957 in the town of Tigerton, WI. Joyce was a proud, 17 year employee of St. Coletta's of Jefferson, where she served as a CNA. She was an active, enthusiastic member of St Mary's Catholic Church where she loved opportunities to serve. She taught many Bible classes and was the coordinator of all CCD classes at the church. She loved angels. Joyce loved to sew, knit, crochet, quilt and upholster furniture. Above all other activities and interests, was her love for family.
She is survived by: her sister Lucille Netzel; a son, David (Lori) Squires of Marshfield; 5 daughters, Sandra Galarneau of Otsego, MI, Debra (Conrad) Cleven of Kendall, WI, Theresa (Delmar) Schmidt of Conroe, TX, Donna Squires-Forte of Sullivan and Jane (Joseph) Bukovich of Watertown; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Joyce is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30PM on Thursday at St Mary's Help of Christians Parish of Sullivan with Fr. Tom Coyle presiding. A visitation will be held from 12:30PM to the time of service at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Help of Christians Cemetery.
