Watertown- Joyce D. Barnes 72 of Watertown passed away on Sat. December 1, 2012 at Alden Estates in Jefferson.
Joyce was born on Oct. 29, 1940 in Oakland, CA the daughter of Conrad & Vera (Ingerson) Huff. Joyce was a graduate of Bob Jones University. She married Max Barnes on July 13, 1963 in Walnut Creek, CA. Joyce was a music teacher at Pensacola Christian College, Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and Maranatha Baptist Bible College. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking and reading.
Survivors include: husband Max Barnes of Watertown; three children Tamara (Tim) Collupy of Watertown, Traci (Dan) Poppert of Frederick, MD and Torrey Barnes of Watertown; seven grandchildren Dylan, Zoe, Kyle, Caitlin, Ransom, Ryder and Rhys; two brothers Chuck (Nancy) Huff of Lewiston, ID and Lloyd (Billie) Huff of Carson, CA; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials to Calvary Baptist Church or Maranatha Fine Arts Department would be appreciated.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, on Monday December 10, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert J. Loggans presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery Watertown.
