Joseph Schuett

December 19, 1958 — November 8, 2013

On Friday, November 08, 2013, Our Lord held out His hand to Joseph J. Schuett, age 54, to take him home. After a 36 year battle against bipolar disease, he died from a heart attack.

Joe was born on December 19, 1958 to William and Agnes (Peirick) Schuett. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1977 and was employed for several years at Wispak. His career was cut short by the complications of bipolar disease and dealing with the maze of treatments and medications.

He had a passion for cars, often visiting local car shows. In his early years he enjoyed playing the drums and had the dream of again someday owning another drum set. Never blessed with a wife or children, he loved to hear about his nieces and nephews and especially loved to see pictures of his great- nieces and nephews.

Joe spoke often of the Lord and put his life in the Lord's hands. He was a caring son and brother. Despite many harsh roadblocks put in his way, Joe appreciated and loved life. His positive attitude despite all the limitations his illness put on his life, his future and his health, make us so very proud of him.

He is survived by his mother, Agnes Schuett, sisters; Patricia (James) Nehls, Beverly Bailey, brothers; Richard (Wendy King) Schuett, Paul (Mardelle) Schuett, Philip (Deb) Schuett. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and many friends in Jefferson and Fort Atkinson. He also leaves behind his beloved cockatiel, Chico.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, William Schuett, brother, John R. Schuett, brother-in-law, Dennis Bailey and niece, Christina Schuett.
