John R. “Jack” Erdmann, 83, of Watertown passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Jack was born on January 20, 1936 in Watertown the son of Alfred and Elsie (Miller) Erdmann. He married the love of his life Shelby Jean Krueger on February 15, 1958 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown and the couple enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Jack worked for Brandt for many years before becoming a Watertown Chamber executive for 11 years before his retirement. In Jack’s free time he was involved with the boy scouts troop 11, restoring old cars, spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, and became a very talented woodcarver. Above all Jack enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Jack is survived by his wife Shelby, sons Scott (Jodi) Erdmann of Watertown and Kim Erdmann of Oconomowoc; 3 grandchildren: Kevin, Katie (Aaron), and Andrew (Mandy). 3 great-grandchildren: August, Glen, Beckett. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Jack will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke presiding. A visitation will take place at the church from 9:30am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Lutheran cemetery in Watertown.
