John Shamblin

John W. Shamblin, 60, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Marquardt Health Center.

John was born on May 22, 1961 in West Virginia, the son of Walter and Marie Shamblin. He attended school in Chicago, and worked with Bethesda Lutheran Communities and Opportunities Inc. He rang bells for many years at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. John was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, he enjoyed traveling, loved people, and he never met a person he did not like. He will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

John was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by many friends from Bethesda and Opportunities Inc.

He is preceded in death by his parents and foster brother Chuckie.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Watertown. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday Feb. 16, 2022 at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
