John Frazier Klink, 59 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at his home.
John was born June 9, 1965, in Milwaukee, the son of Douglas and Marcella (Enderlin) Klink. He grew up in the Whitefish Bay area and graduated from Whitefish Bay High School. John went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and later earned a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. Following the transition of his career, he found his passion and began working as a Chef at various restaurants around the country. John was proud to have studied under Lydia Bastianich. He later worked locally at Aurora Summit as Director of Food Services and at Three Pillars as a Director. John was known for his ability to make his family and friends ‘something out of nothing’ with the food ingredients that they had on hand. John met Stephanie Bykowski in 2015 and the couple spent many happy years together traveling and enjoying the sights. John was a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and celebrated 18 years of sobriety this year. He had a very quirky sense of humor and knew a lot about everything, and never hesitated to teach someone something new. John was passionate about music, especially the blues, and played the guitar. He enjoyed spending time with family, driving vacations, biking, and also liked golf and tennis. John had a special way of collecting people in his life. No matter how much time had passed since they met, John could always reconnect and find new things to share. He was a very special person who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
John is survived by: his loving partner Stephanie Bykowski; siblings Douglas (Cheryl) Klink Jr., Susan (Kendall) Senti, and David Klink; nieces and nephews Douglas Klink III, Jennifer Klink, Marcella Senti, and John Senti; beloved children of his partner Chad (Jenna) Rassigan and Hannah (Joseph) Otten; and their children Aubrey and Caden Rassigan, and Raymond and Walter Otten. John is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents.
